TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE?

I received a text yesterday from my mate in Scotland. He said: "Builder Bloke sounds too good - I think I might shag him after Daniel Craig. Taking tips from him myself".

He's right of course. He does sound too good to be true and this week he has spoilt me stupid. He even rang the day after he'd taken me out for dinner, before I'd had a chance to thank him and said "I want to thank you for one of the most lovely evenings I've ever had". Apparently his ex-wife is livid. I don't blame her. They get on quite well now and she insisted that he tell her where we went for dinner and what he bought me for a present (suffice to say it came from Tiffany's). I can completely understand why she feels upset - he didn't ever take her anywhere like that apparently. I wonder why. What is it that makes him want to make an effort with me when he didn't with her? Timing? Being with a different person? Less pressure? Learning from mistakes? Better second time around?

Just caught up with your blog and greatly enjoyed your riff on all things 'facebook'. Extremely funny, harp as a lemon and stngingly observed!
I think builderman is loving you better then the ex because he's older possibly wiser and mostly because you -obviously- are worth every extra effort.

Re question at end of second paragraph; he makes an effort 'because you're worth it' Despite three kids you are still in damn good shape - you're pretty, smart, witty and an all round decent person. You make, through this blog, hundreds? of people around the world smile on a daily basis. What is there not to make an effort about?..if I were straight, I would....

Can I join the Family Affairs Adoration Club?

Crikey, keep on going in this vein and you'll eventually conclude that he's NOT good enough for you by a mile. Then dump him. Brad Pitt will get to hear of this and he'll give Angelina the big E and, whoosh, he'll be sweeping you off your feet. Sorted.

I agree with all of the above Lulu, it's because you're great! So great that maybe you'd like to do the "7 Meme" (if you haven't already been asked?). No pressure, but details at my place if you want to. M :-)
